Let the Sun Shine! | Battle Ground, WA Kids Photography

Today was a GORGEOUS day! I apologize to East Coasters right now because I'm totally high on the fact that we reached 60 degrees today. Smack dab in the middle of winter. Awesome.

Today was proof that the sun will come back. Today was hope that we will be warm and dry again. Spring, come soon!!!

We Are Family | Vancouver Family Photography

Brad has played an important role in my life for almost 20 years. As the father of Chip, my husband of 11 years, Brad took me under his wing as his own daughter and has been there for me whenever I needed him, and has been an amazing Grandpa, or “Bakka”, as the kids call him. When Linda came into our lives, it was like a light came on in us all. She has an profound affect on people, and has been a constant source of inspiration to me in understanding myself as a woman, a mom, a partner, and a professional. While my marriage ended, my relationship with Brad and Linda (and Chip!) continues, stronger and sweeter than ever.

Together, Brad and Linda build their dreams through various business ventures, and Linda is an amazing Massage Therapist. Needing some updated business headshots, we took to the streets of downtown Vancouver and had so much fun that it reminded me of this quote (can’t remember exactly how it goes but the sentiment is this): “When you find something you absolutely love to do, you’ll never “work” again.”

Thanks Bakka and Gramma!

Kayla | Vancouver, WA Senior Photographer

I met Kayla through a friend who nominated her family for my Giving is Awesome promotion last holiday season. Her family has gone through a lot in recent years and Kayla is incredibly deserving, and a really sweet and gorgeous girl who is full of a sparkle you just don't see that often.

Let the gorgeousness begin!

Paisley Rose | Portland Band Photographer

I met Paisley Rose way back in the day when our babies were tiny and our worlds revolved around playdates and neighborhood politics. We moved away from each other but still managed to keep in touch. Since our move, her family has become focused on music and was recently in studio recording and asked me to come take pictures.

Recording music is very serious business, as you can clearly see...

Did I mention that I have the coolest friends ... like in the Universe???

Playing at Powell's | Portland Family Photographer

Joi has wanted a family photo shoot at Powell's Bookstore in downtown Portland for ages. We didn't think it would be possible, but as it turns out, all we needed was to get permission and sign a release form...and voila! We met there with Tyler's parents and spent a fun filled session goofing around and exploring the aisles.

Her First Picture

I am a mommy to a brand spankin new Canon 5D Mark II!!!

I wanted to share her first picture. Isn't it pretty sweet?!?!?

Indian Summer Ending | Portland Family Photographer

There is not much more I love as a photographer than photographing friends. You already know their character and personalities, their quirks and charm. So it is working with Lisa and Ron and their kiddos Akasha and Orion. Akasha is a bit younger than my Max (18 months) and she is already talking up a storm! Amazing! Orion was telling me knock knock jokes the whole time. My favorite..."Knock Knock"...."Who's There?" "Interrupting Cow (or dog, cat, bird, etc)." "Interrupting Cow, Wh...." "MOOOOOOO" LOL

And they brought their dog Kona to the shoot, who was absolutely sweet and made me want a dog so badly!!!!

We met at one of my favorite spots in the Portland area and had a beautiful walk in the last gorgeous day in September.
